Password Changed On PC Or Tablet Not Updated On The Smartphone: How To Fix This?

For all email users, it is very important that you change the password of your email account occasionally, so as to keep it safe and protected from unwanted elements that lurk around the web all the time. The problem with having the same old password for too long is that if you access your email on public computers or with someone always around, then there are chances that your email account could get hacked. It is not a certainty that your email will be compromised, but there are high chances, and since your email comprises of important information about your business and/or personal life, which if gets into someone else’s hands may be dangerous.

Therefore, you must update your password once in two months in order to be on the safe side. Coming to changing the password of your email, sometimes, people have found that when they change the password of their email account on their PC or tablet, the same doesn’t reflect on their smartphones. If that is the case with you, then you should keep reading the post.

The moment you change the password of your email account, it should be reflected in all your devices on which you are using that email. However, if that doesn’t happen, then you should do it manually. Take SBCglobal email, for instance, many people who are using this email service have changed the password on their computers and tablets, but on the smartphone, the password remained the same, and as a result, they couldn’t log into their email account. If you too use this email service and access it from your smartphone’s email app, then you will have to update the password in the app as well, and for that, you need to follow the forthcoming steps.

1.      The first thing that you need to make sure is that the email account you have configured on the smartphone’s email app is the same as that you are about to change the password for.

2.      The reason I want you to check that is that SBCglobal email has different extensions, so you need to confirm that the email you are using on your smartphone has the same extension as that of the email you are using on the computer or tablet.

Once you confirm this, then, it’s time to go to ‘How-to-center’ menu followed by selecting the device that you have configured your SBCglobal email on:

1.      In the app, you need to select the option named ‘Device Instructions’ after which, you need to click ‘Messaging and email’ option. Now, you have to select ‘Email’ option.

2.      Select ‘Email Options’ to find out the steps needed for accessing email account settings.

3.      After entering SBCglobal email settings on your smartphone, select ‘SBCglobal email account’.

4.      Now, you can update your SBCglobal email password.

5.      Type in the password and then, click ‘Save’ to save the new password.

If you encounter any problem while updating your password, then you can get in touch with SBCglobal email support, which is the sole solution provider for all the problems related to SBCglobal email.
