What Is The Process To Ignore Threads And Sub-Threads In SBCGlobal Email Account?
Many email users
join threads and sub-threads from time to time in order to get better
information about certain topics. If you too have joined certain threads and
sub-threads, but want to know how to ignore them just in case those have become
irrelevant to you, then this post will explain that process in detail.
Ignoring Threads & Sub-Threads
Threads are one of
those services that not many people will be aware of. However, if you are not
in that group, then it’s good. Now, let us discuss how to ignore threads
because, at times, those can be very annoying. If you are using SBCGlobal email and want to
ignore threads, then you can easily do so. You just need to activate a feature
and once you do, you will be able to skip reading the unnecessary conversation that
you are not interested in reading. You don’t have to worry about other
conversations, as those will be present in your email account and you can
easily read those.
How to ignore threads?
To ignore a
thread, you need to select a particular message and as you do so, you will be
presented with a wide range of options. In those options, you will see the ‘Ignore
Thread’ option, which you need to select. You can also press ‘K’ button on the
keyboard, which is a shortcut for enabling ‘ignore thread’ option. The threads
you ignore will not be there in your inbox but don’t worry, those messages
won’t be deleted, so if you want to have those messages back in the inbox
folder, you can easily do that. By ignoring the thread, you will continue to
get more replies, but those replies won’t trigger the notification, which is a
big relief.
How to ignore sub-thread?
The process
of ignoring a thread and sub-thread is not different. If you want to ignore a
sub-thread, then only those messages will be ignored after which you chose to
ignore the sub-thread.
Can you see ignored threads?
If you have
changed your mind and want to see those ignored threads, then you can do so,
but only for a short period of time. You need to go to ‘View’ and then,
‘Threads’. If you want to stop seeing the threads again, then just uncheck’
view’ option followed by ‘Threads’ and finally, ‘Ignored Threads’.
In
SBCGlobal email, there is a provision of un-ignoring one thread, which you have
marked ignored earlier. For that, you just need to select the message in the
thread followed by unchecking the message and then, clicking ‘ignore thread’.
Doing that will allow you to un-ignore a single message in the thread.
